Bárut - Inga Juuso receives the Spellemann Prize (Norwegian "Grammy" Award)

Bárut and Inga Juuso were today awarded the Spellemann Prize for 2011 in open class. The prize was awarded in advance of the show in Folketeatret - in the program "Jungeltelegrafen" on NRK Radio. The trio receives the award in this category which has previously been won by Jaga Jazzist, Kristin Asbjørnsen, Farmers Market, Live Maria Roggen, Hanne Hukkelberg, Nils Petter Molvær, Frode Fjellheim and a number of other profiled artists in Norway.

Bárut og Inga Juuso er nominert til Spellemannsprisen 2011 i kategorien Åpen klasse! Nominasjonen gjelder albumet Bálggis som ble utgitt 8. april 2011 høstet fantastiske kritikker i pressen. En nominasjon til Spellemannspris er ytterligere en bekreftelse på at dette er en strålende CD. Vuelie gratulerer alle de involverte.

Success for the comissioned music for Osafestivalen

This year, Frode Fjellheim was invited to Compose the comissioned work for the Osafestivalen in Voss.

The work Biejjien Vuelie - Solkvad was performed during the festival on Saturday 29 October and garnered a great response from both the audience and critics.
