This is a book that complements the work "Trøndelag's history" with what should have been a natural part of it. At the same time, it provides a backdrop that challenges all historians to take in known knowledge from living informants, archaeologists, historians and others who have worked with this material - to rewrite Nordic history.

An alternative musical education where the oldest living music tradition in Europe; yoik, is the starting point. The study is made by Frode Fjellheim - in collaboration with Nord-Trøndelag University College, HiNT. It combines a focus on Sami culture and yoik with a musical playfulness that results in a cross-genre work where one of the goals is to give yoik a natural place in our modern society. At the same time, you will get an introduction to the Sami culture, which is part of our common cultural heritage and has a historical foothold in large parts of the Nordic region.

Et revitaliseringsprosjekt av Frode Fjellheim i regi av HiNT.
Karl Tirén gjennomførte på begynnelsen av 1900 tallet en reise der han dokumenterte – gjennom nedtegninger og opptak på voksrull – joiker fra store deler av det samiske området.

I denne sammenhengen har jeg valgt å plukke ut 5 dyrejoiker som kan egne seg for bruke i en pedagogisk sammenheng og være et utgangspuinkt for et forskningsprosjekt der en revitalisering av disse er et mål.
