A meeting between Transjoik´'s electronic world music and Pakistani qawwali singer Sher Miandad Khan.
His now deceased relative, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, brought qawwali out into the wider world through collaboration with, among others Peter Gabriel and Jan Garbarek. Sher Miandad carries on the legacy in his own way and is considered one of the greatest singers in this tradition in his home country, Pakistan.

Aejlies gaaltije - The Sacred Source is a unique musical experience you should definitely treat yourself to! The music is based on the South Sami liturgy, mixed with Finnish, Norwegian and European culture.
The music was first performed during a festival in Northern Norway in 2000 and at the time garnered fantastic reviews in the press. Now the CD version is here and it has received a great reception from both critics and record buyers!
The CD received the Spellemann Prize ("Norwegian Grammy") 2004 in Open Class

Med joik som utgangspunkt - Yoik as a starting point is a textbook in music - with yoik as a starting point.
Of course you learn to yoik, but you also learn notes, music theory, composition, arrangement, use of voice and much, much more. Everything with yoik as a starting point. The book represents something completely new in the field of music. Recorder and "Orff instruments" have been replaced with our nearest instrument - the voice. The book addresses both the traditional aspects of the yoik and puts it into a modern framework. The book is aimed at anyone who wants to learn something about music! A CD with examples, accompagnement and tasks is included.

Joik For Choir is of course right up there for mixed choirs who want a new and exciting material. The collection represents a pioneering work in the dissemination of the Sami cultural heritage and contains compositions and arrangements that have attracted attention both internationally and here at home. The included CD means that the rehearsal is significantly simplified, at the same time as the pre-recorded backing tracks contributes to a professional result.
